In our strategic planning work, we confer closely with clients to understand the nature of the problem they are seeking to resolve, advise on appropriate analytical frameworks to address the issues at hand and assist them in working through the process to identify and implement strategic solutions. In recent facility-oriented work for a local health authority this has included, for example: assessing of the impact of business process change in the requirement for capital investment over time, evaluating the condition of existing building stock for several community health programs in order to prepare strategies for accommodating future growth and change and analyzing financial impacts for an exciting real estate opportunity that could help their administrative group meet future needs. Whatever the strategic challenge being pursued, the bottom line is providing sound decision-support to our clients in their seach for cost-effective and workable strategies.

- Fraser Health Lease Opportunity Business Case - 2010
- Gameplan headed up the analysis of real estate financials and provided strategic input to a team assembled to examine an exciting lease opportunity in North Surrey.
- High Level Proforma for Three Fraser Health Community Health Centres - 2009
- Analysis and presentation materials to secure funding for these critical health facility initiatives for the Fraser Valley.
- Three Fraser Health Strategic Portfolio Plans
- Following a model that Gameplan developed for the health authority’s Home Health & End of Life Care Portfolio, three additional plans were produced to provide decision-support information for a total of 54 sites serving Mental Health, Health Promotion & Prevention and Health Protection.
- BC Ambulance Service Real Estate Portfolio Analysis
- Review of provincial ambulance station capital requirements over a 10 year time frame to derive financial options for maintaining the portfolio of over 180 ambulance stations. Requirements for growth, ongoing MAM costs and costs to replace stations at the end of their economic life were considered.
- Fraser Health Home Health & End of Life Care Strategic Portfolio Plan
- Needs assessment combined with a condition assessment for 26 sites in this critical community health care portfolio to provide guidance to executive regarding future facility decisions and investments.
- 2010 Commerce Centre Visioning Exercise for the BC Olympic and Paralympic Games Secretariat
- Preparation and facilitation of a workshop with key Secretatiat and invited stakeholders to develop a strategic vision for this important Olympic Venue. Accommodation & Real Estate Services (now Shared Services BC) was the client.
- VIHA North Island Regional Hospital Development Options Analysis
- Preparation of decision-support information for Partnerships BC during an options planning phase for delivering hospital services to the north Vancouver Island region.
- Accommodation & Real Estate Services Demand Forecasting Handbook
- Background research, business process review and client engagement sessions to develop this handbook in support of a new, in-house business process for projecting office needs and recommending procurement options for the province.
- Literacy B.C. & Open Learning Agency - Literacy Resource Centre Study
- A survey and expert interview analysis leading to a needs assessment and strategic development plan for a provincial literacy resource centre. Undertaken by Gameplan’s predecessor firm, Bancroft Planning & Research Associates.
